At Scottish Adventure School (SAS) we deliver residential outdoor learning experiences that challenge, inspire and develop young people.

Located in the heart of Highland Perthshire, SAS provides a safe and supportive environment where students can step outside their comfort zones and discover what they are capable of.

Every residential programme is carefully designed and led by experienced instructors to ensure pupils enjoy a memorable, educational and exciting adventure.

Every residential includes:

Schools can choose from a range of programme options depending on how many activities they would like and whether they prefer instructor-led evening sessions.

This allows each school to tailor their residential to suit their pupils and budget.

• Canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding

Each activity is designed to encourage learners to develop confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills while having fun in the outdoors.

Residential Programme Options

To give schools greater flexibility we offer four programme levels.

Each provides a fantastic outdoor learning experience, with increasing levels of activity and instructor-led support.

Explorer Programme

A great introduction to outdoor adventure

The Explorer Programme offers a balanced residential experience with a core selection of daytime activities, mostly based on or near our extensive site in Crieff.

Evenings are free for schools to run their own activities, reflection sessions or group games.

Ideal for

• First-time residential groups
• Younger pupils
• Schools wanting a lighter activity schedule or operating on a tighter budget

These packages start at £240pp for 2 nights, £340pp for 3 nights and £440pp for 4 nights (incl VAT)

 

Adventurer Programme

More activities, more adventure

The Adventurer Programme expands the activity schedule, allowing students to experience a wider range of challenges throughout their stay.

Evenings remain available for school-led activities.

Ideal for

• P7 residential trips
• Schools wanting a fuller activity programme
• Groups seeking variety and challenge

These packages start at £300pp for 2 nights, £400pp for 3 nights and £500pp for 4 nights (incl VAT)

 

Trailblazer Programme

Fully guided adventure experience

In the Trailblazer Programme our instructors lead both the daytime activities and structured evening sessions, providing a more immersive residential experience.

Evening programmes may include activities like high ropes, Jacob’s Ladder, crate stack, tree climb, archery, air rifles, bushcraft or laser tag.

Ideal for

• Schools wanting a fully organised programme
• Groups that benefit from structured evening activities

These packages start at £275pp for 2 nights, £375pp for 3 nights and £475pp for 4 nights (incl VAT)

 

 

Expedition Programme

The ultimate SAS residential experience

The Expedition Programme offers the most immersive experience with an extended activity programme and instructor-led evenings.

Students enjoy a high-energy residential filled with adventure, teamwork and personal growth.

Ideal for

• Senior pupils
• Schools seeking a flagship residential experience
• Groups wanting maximum engagement

These packages start at £325pp for 2 nights, £425pp for 3 nights and £525pp for 4 nights (incl VAT)

Optional Add-On

Summit Series – Advanced Adventure Activities

For schools looking for an extra level of excitement, our Summit Series add-on offers access to specialist adventure activities requiring higher instructor ratios.

Examples may include:

• White water rafting
• Rock climbing
• Canoeing
• Various evening activities

These activities provide unforgettable highlights during the residential experience and can be added to any of the packages.

Additional activities can be ‘bolted-on’ to your programme at £20pp
